Moments not spent in traffic : an LA series pt. 2

I had always heard about Abbot Kinney in La but had never gone until recently and let me tell ya, it was just as hip as they say. All kinds of Vegan restaurants and expensive boutiques,  everything you’d expect in LA. But I thoroughly enjoyed spending the day here  and captured some great sights like this mobile flower shop! Had brunch at The Butcher’s Daughter and it was AMAZING. Would recommend 10/10 especially for those of you that are lactose intolerant because they offer all dairy free 🙂

Girls on a Mission.

Another day, another great shot of Shanni. Spent the weekend in San Francisco exploring/getting into shenanigans with my bff and took some amazing pictures along the way. This particular one is in the Mission District, which I had not really explored before. There were so many beautiful classing SF homes and a rich culture. We stumbled upon this small Mexican pastry shop and got to enjoy freshly baked goodies that were incredible. My favorite travel adventures are the ones that you happen upon by chance 🙂

Mali-boos.

Flew to Southern California to collaborate with my beautiful cousin (pictured above) and have a photo shoot with some friends. The results were beyond glorious and I will be sharing them in a series.

My cousin is an incredible makeup artist and not to mention a ray of sunshine. I am thankful to have her by my side as we grow in our creative careers. Team work makes the dream work, baby! Follow her work here!

Today is the day: my camera has arrived and I officially move into the realm of professional (??) photography. Excited for a new journey and a new risk! I don’t know what the future holds but life has yet to deviate from the wild and unpredictable. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this picture of my friend Shanni because she’s such a stunner, capturing her beauty is so easy. **Be warned, I will 99% force you to be my model if we are together.

My out of town friends know better than anyone that I am one proud Sacramento resident. I will tell anyone who will listen about the great restaurants and bars or its proximity to great daycation destinations like Tahoe and San Francisco. I won’t lie, it has not always been like this but with time and growing I have come to treasure this place as my second home. You will often see pictures of sights around town and I hope that if you have not already, you will consider visiting. #VisitSacramento

Daycations.

Processed with VSCO with c1 presetFor when time and bank account don’t allow me to board a plane and venture out, I enjoy taking a drive to San Francisco and seeing what adventures it offers me. After living in Northern California for over 14 years, it has yet to disappoint. There is always something new to discover and see through my lens. This picture is from a hike at Lands End which I had surprisingly never been, although it’s a classic spot. I love escaping the urban jungle and being in nature all the while watching the Golden Gate in the distance.

Telling the story.

Processed with VSCO with c8 presetI believe every picture tells a story. In my work, I strive to capture candid real-life moments. Sneak peeks into the best times I experience. I want to hold these memories dearly and being able to look back brings me a great sense of comfort. For example, this was a perfect day reuniting with my college friends after months of being apart. We drank mimosas, danced in the rain and got scouted for a TV show. It is these magical days I want to showcase here.
